The Villain is…
The individual that ruined Slim’s Halloween story AND repeatedly mowed down the werewolf-for-hire with a Gilling low floor Bus is finally revealed.
Just for completeness, here are the links to gremlins references in panel #3:
Slim was rather short with the gremlin when he showed him the door in Pesky Gremlins #418:

The gremlins really did star in last years Halloween story. Here is the gremlin’s squeaky entrance to that story in Pesky Gremlins #265:

And, of course, the gremlin is a caricature of the actual gremlin from the Twilight Zone “Nightmare at 20,000 feet” Here is a wikia link if there is someone out there that is not familiar with this episode.

Oh, one other thing, Thora and Tanzie, you were right! You two figured it out a week before Halloween!
INKTOBER:
I had another Jonny Quest ready to go, but the werewolf begged me to do another one of him just to prove that he could be scary if he tried. So, here he is, nowhere near a street, road, or even a forest trail.
Finally, I drew several jack-o-lanterns to fill in the background of this weeks Halloween cartoons. To give credit where credit is due, the jack-o-lanterns were inspired by all the wonderful pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns in David Hurley’s comic Don’t Pick the Flowers. (Thanks David!) However, the jack-o-lanterns are all peeking through or around the cartoon frames and you can’t really see them. So, here is the Punkin Patch:
Have a Happy Halloween!!

Whoa! I figured it was a gremlin, but didn’t know it was that one! Good one, man!

Thanks RG! I was a little concerned that it might be too obvious who was meddling with Slim’s story.
David Hurley
And there you have it!

The villain has been revealed and now it is time to pack Slim away in the attic.
…until next year.

Fuzzy Gremlins really hold a grudge!
H Stacy
Yeah, big TV stars can be like that.

Could anyone not be familiar with that famous TZ episode? Hard to believe!
H Stacy
Hard to believe but they are out there.

I thought Elmo would be the driver.

Nope, it was the fuzzy gremlin that smells like wet carpet all along.
