Pesky Gremlins Comic 265 – Creak, Creak, Creak

Creak, Creak, Creak

At about 20,000 feet, in the middle of a thunderstorm, you would not expect to hear a creaky noise.  But, that’s exactly what Fubar hears just before a figure from the past appears.

I need to thank my good friend Dan Gibson for this cartoon.  When I told him that I was thinking about doing something along the line of the old Nightmare at 20,000 feet, the idea of the Twilight Zone gremlin suspended from wires moved by creaky old gears popped right out of his head.

  1. Certainly not out of place in a story being told by a plastic glow in the dark skeleton, not named Red.

    1. You just knew that this character was going to show up at some point, didn’t you?

  2. Which makes you very special. 😉

    1. The old style gremlin thanks you for recognizing that!

  3. SFX have made incredible improvements over the past 50 years.

    1. They do a much better job of hiding the wires these days.

  4. Ha! The Shatner version of the gremlin is not nearly as ugly as the one in the movie either. 😛

    1. Your are right. The gremlin in the 1980’s Twilight Zone movie was a lot creepier than the one in the original Twilight Zone TV episode. But the gremlin in the TV series made a much deeper impression. At least on me 🙂
