Absent but not Missed
It’s October and time for Slim, the world’s most famous glow-in-the-dark plastic skeleton to come to life and tell the gremlins a spooky-ish story. Snafu is still upset about being absent from last year’s story and is of a mind to do something about it.
For those not familiar with Slim, he is a simple plastic skeleton that comes to life during the month of October. Slim attributes this miracle to the magic sunglasses duct-taped to his head which are rumored to have belonged to Frosty the Snowman. If you are so inclined, here is a link to Slim’s first appearance: http://www.peskygremlins.com/comic/pesky-gremlins-comic-99-skeleton-attic/
Also, here is a link to last year’s Halloween story: http://www.peskygremlins.com/comic/pesky-gremlins-comic-255-grand-entrance/ (Hint: this may be useful as this year’s story progresses)
Also, on a totally unrelated topic, I will be attempting to do the INKTOBER challenge. The rules for INKTOBER are pretty simple:
1) Draw something in ink
2) Post it ( I will be posting on Twitter, Instagram, and Here!)
3) Do it every day in October
It also helps to have a theme and I am going to go with Scary Stuff from Jonny Quest
Here is the first one (which really isn’t scary at all)

Yay, we love the plastic skeleton guy. He resin-ates. There are no molds or tabs stuck to him. He’s a cellular PVC masterpiece. Available at your neighborhood Wal-Mart.

Actually, Slim came from Target’s clearance bin. Sadly, Target does not seem to carry the glow-in-the-dark variety of skeletons anymore.

I think Slim comes to life in October in anticipation of Wombat Day.

Slim is usually pretty busy during October with his Halloween related tasks, but he is a big supported of Wombat Day.

No telling what the plastic glow-in-the-dark skeleton has planned this time.
