Siriously?

Upon returning home from a great day out with Siri, Elmo discovers a multitude of home improvements, but who did this?

Since much of the home improvement devices from today’s cartoon were seriously downsized, today’s web page bonus image is the full size version of those devices.

HAL 9000 Doorbell

Am I the only one that always thought the HAL 9000 in 2001 A Space Odyssey looked like a door bell? The only thing that got shrunk down more than the electronics, were the Siri emojis, so as a bonus bonus, here is the character sheet that I used for this cartoon with the full sized emojis. Oh, the last Elmo body and head were done separately for no other reason than I botched the head on the body and just started over (it was REALLY bad).

Now that you mention it, Hal did look like a doorbell!

  That’s a good theory and not much of a stretch in real life, either. Apple and Amazon are fierce competitors. It only follows that their products would behave this way.

I like technology, though I’m not sure I trust all of these electronic devices not to spy on me or worse. I don’t really want to become part of the hive.

The reflections on the doorbell are really nice.

  I know exactly how you feel. However, I would still like to have one of those robot vacuum cleaners.
  
  Thanks Peter! When I first drew the HAL 9000 Doorbell, it didn’t have the reflections. HAL just doesn’t have that same menacing look without those reflections.
