Just a Smudge
Snafu reveals his underlying reason for his great displeasure in being rendered in pencil.
Just for the record, here are the unaltered pencil drawings direct from the sketchbook (yes, I still use a sketchbook) that were used to create this strip.
As you can see, the sketchbook images are a little rougher than the ones in the cartoon strip. …AND, more importantly, that no characters were actually smudged in the creation of this cartoon strip.
