Mummy Dearest
Slim may have slipped up on the subject matter of his annual Halloween story. It seems the gremlins do not hold mummies in high esteem (with Fubar being the possible exception).

He hasn’t gotten to the eternal curse part yet.

Snafu forgot to mention the eternal curse during his diatribe. Maybe he will mention it during his next diatribe.

Don’t scoff, that mummy may come after you!

I think that the gremlins have already scoffed!

It is not politically correct to say mummy. The correct nomenclature is “gauze impaired”

His royal highness, the Mummy, does not use common gauze for his wrappings. His wrappings are 400 thread count Egyptian cotton.

The mummy of the old vintage movies weren’t really scary to me. Creepy and eerie yes, but I was never really afraid of something I could outrun. On the other hand, I was a little weirded out that the thing kept coming for ya…

Yes, I completely agree. I don’t find the vintage mummies scary in the least. What sparked this little series was recently buying and watching the original Boris Karloff Mummy movie. While Boris’ mummy make up was truly outstanding, the movie itself was slow and a real disappointment. It is hard to be scared of something that you can literally walk away from.
