Mistaken Identity

Fubar and Snafu have made a rather obvious mistake concerning modern electronics and Lucas enjoys pointing that mistake out.

  1. Seriously, don’t you just hate it when that happens. People never throw out old obsolete remotes, calculators, or mobile phones. We are a hoarder society afraid to eventually need old stuff at some future time. I still have my brick sized Motorola phone from 1990. Go figure.

    1. This cartoon is sort of based on a real experience of mine. I was talking on our wireless phone (landline) and had just hung up. I wanted to change the TV channel and pointed the phone at the TV. I realized my mistake as I was pushing the button and felt really dumb. I just substituted the old calculator as it seem even sillier.

You still have one those old Motorola “mobile” phones? That sounds like it would almost be a collectors item by now. 🙂

  2. Well that changes things.

    1. Actually, that doesn’t change things (like TV channels).

  3. If they can’t find the real TV remote, life as they know it might end.

    1. Or, here is a radical thought, they could just walk over to the TV and push the “power” button.

  4. Now even the calculator’s read out is ’tilt’…

    1. …if that old calculator’s batteries still work!

  5. I’ve had that happen before in the past, wondering why the TV remote wasn’t turning on my DVD player. 🙂

    1. The same thing has happened to me …more than once.
