Our Most Sincere Apology
Ok, I admit it. I screwed up on the last cartoon (#167) and posted a cartoon with spelling errors. It probably wasn’t the first time and it is most unlikely to be the last. The funny thing is I checked the spelling with MS Word but I think I did one to many CTL-Z (undos) with the version that I ended up saving. I would like to thank those of you who quietly pointed out my mistake (and received a free Pesky Gremlins T-shirt for your trouble). The good news is that it gave me the opportunity to do THIS cartoon.

I’m glad you have seen fit to seek out our forgivness on this mater. I have reconsider contracting the appropriate authoritys on this issue and hope this never happen again. Athough, there is a pending lawsuit against, you and this strip dew to the fact I have been pemantlty damaged by these mispellings and blantened disreguard for my visual safetey.

Oh man! I hate dealing with our legal department. Could we settle this for a T-shirt?

When you work with Gremlins, stuff happens. The beauty of on-line cartooning/publishing is that when you find a mistake your just correct it and repost the comic and most likely only one of your two readers will have even seen the mistake. 🙂

I wish that I could say that I planned the spelling error or that I could blame actual gremlin. But it was me. I was about to log on to the website and correct it when I thought of this cartoon. The new cartoon seemed much more fitting (and fun to draw) in a strip dealing with gremlins. I had the new strip drawn very quickly but I kept finding MORE unintentional spelling errors in the text!

When life hands you misspelled words, make a comic strip!

Exactly, gotta play with the cards that you are dealt. Although, in this case, I was technically the dealer…

Spelling mistakes are inevitable in the world of self-editing. Since most people are visual readers, I doubt anyone would’ve noticed it. Of course, being a visual reader is exactly why we don’t see it either :/

Actually, I did have several people (more than one!) point out my spelling mistake. They were also the ones who laughed the most at this cartoon 🙂
