I have never even seen figgy pudding, so I will have to take your word for it. My pudding of choice will always be chocolate.

I’ve never made figgy pudding, because all the recipes I found made it more like a cake than a pudding. Some recipes even had it with dates and raisins, but no figs. They all seemed to remind me of fruitcake, so I didn’t pursue making it any further (I’m not a fan of fruitcake). ?

Figgy pudding is related to fruitcake!?? Ugh. I am not a fan of fruitcake, either. In fact, I have a couple Pesky Gremlin comics (in draft state) that deal with fruitcake. (maybe next year…)
